Taking my car down on Thurs to have a new roof window fitted, just outside of Poole. I'll probably be there between 9.30-4.30.

Any ideas of fun activities to while the time away? Obviously in Poole or nearby on train, etc because I'll be carless for the day!

Being from Bournemouth I know Poole well. The only worth while thing to do is sit on the quay watching sea gulls crap on the locals.

Off the top of my head having visited it on Friday and Saturday:

Free museum (if that's your bag)
Paint your own cup in the pottery place
Jump on the train across to Bournemouth and go shopping/perving
Eat in one of apparently 30,000 Italian restaurants/coffee shops in the greater Poo-mouth area.

Tower park is up the road, plenty of places to eat, cinema, bowling etc. Poole town centre would be an easy bus journey from baggs

Cool, cheers. Might pop to the cinema if they have an early showing.

You're only 800 yards from a big BMW dealership, me thinks you should blag a demo M3 cab for a day's test drive and go exploring the Purbeck hills. hehe

There's a thought. Maybe some blagging about "My M3" being in for fettling might help hehe No need to mention the E-number!

If you ride a bike, you'll want to have a nose round moorespeed opposite baggs. Failing that if youre only there for a bit, i hate to say it but tower park is probly your best bet to kill a bit of time without being too far away.

Either that or get a cab to bournemouth town centre and have a nose round.
