Having been at the arches with a Dremel, I've decided my 205 needs professional help. Also needs paint on the new bonnet, so any recommendations for a bodywork/welding place?

I live in Southampton, but work in Winchester, so anywhere near there is easy for me. TIA.

If I'm not too late, then I'd recommend Everyway Car Repairs in Redbridge. They repair everything from run of the mill cars through to £250k plus historic race cars that have been crunched. They keep my rally cars looking good and also rebuilt my TVR when a friend spun it into a tree at 60mph... Steve, the owner, has also helped with several friend's cars. If you are interested please drop me a PM and I'll see if I can also get you a 'mates rate.'

If they're ok with a TVR, does that mean they do fibreglass and gel coats?

The Elise needs some touch-up and scratch repairs to the paint.

Yes, they certainly have a lot of fibreglass experience - did a fantastic job fitting an entire new back end onto my Chimaera and regularly work on very valuable fibreglass historic racing cars too. If you'd like to PM me I'll see if I can get you a deal, or feel free to contact Steve directly if you prefer.

Thanks - touch-up is one of the last things on the list of car things-to-do I'm afraid, so it will be a few months before I get round to it I would imagine, but I will certainly give them a call when the time comes.
