Good Roads near Southampton

Hello does anyone know of some good driving roads near Southampton?

I have nothing to do this afternoon and just fancy a nice drive...

A272. I usually join at West Meon Hut and then go West to Winchester. From Southampton, I'd go from the Winchester end and either head South down the A32 and rejoin the M27, or carry on further over to Petersfield and then A3>M27.
Be careful for bikers and police though!

Bishops Waltham to Winchester


Avoid on sunny weekends/evenings go between midnight and 4am and have fun but take it easy as if you loose it'll be a long time before someone finds you.

I know the bishops road well as Iwork in winchester and used to stay in the de vere hotel nearby it was the best commute to work ever my clio 172 at the time was in its element on those roads!

Agreed about that. Note that the A272 is shut some evenings at the moment, or at least it was on Monday. I'm sure you can find more details somewhere.
