Aluminium Panel Beater
Discussion
One of my neighbours was involved in an incident today in his Morgan Aero 8.
A cyclist with clipless pedals fell into his car when he couldn't get his feet unclipped quickly enough after stopping.
He said that the paint is unmarked but that there is dent that he would like knocked out. It is single skinned aluminium and probably needs someone skilled in working with that material.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

It will need someone skilled in working with aluminium. It is a bugger to get right as the panel will have no tension in it so the dent will not 'pop out' like most dents in steel panels. Just make sure anyone used has good knowledge of working with ali. There is a bloke just out of Botley who spends his time making parts for vintage aircraft from aluminium, very impressive work, he also does car stuff. I don't know if he'd do repairs but it would be worth an ask.
I'm thinking its unlikely to be a paintless repair.
He's on the road between Botley & Park gate in a place known as Bury Farm.
If you look here: http://binged.it/Yb2X22 you can see a dark car parked in front of the building with a white roof, thats his unit. I can't even remember the guys name but he does top quality work, last time I was there he had a DB5 that he was going to make new panels for.
