Can't come to this or infact any meet for a long time engine has failed on my GTI and I can't really afford to fix it as the labor costs to stick a new engine in are mental so I am just stuck walking and being very depressed currently

No it was okay until a week after

Crank was fked spacers had disintegrated in the sump had become starved of oil due to pickup pipe getting blocked.

I did an oil change but damage had already been done as car is no smoking terribly so got to fit a new engine

I suspect previous owner may have known skmething as it started to smoke quite early into my ownership...
