Booked in next week with Wheel Specialist Ferndown. Thanks for the recommendation.

Had to laugh, phoned BMW just to ask - "Sir, I would only send them to Milton Keynes at a cost of £160 per wheel"!!!

If your front and back wheels are different, make sure they put them on the right way round and make sure they inflate to correct pressure and , although it's a small thing, I don't like my car being used as an advert on their FB page without my permission especially after such slipshod work. I won't be going back there.
Oops!! Care to PM me. That's not good to hear after the poster above recommended them.

As a matter of interest, has anyone used Alloy Magic at Cabot Lane, Poole?

A friend did and wasn't very impressed tbh. Ended up costing way more than the initial quote, and the finish wasn't too great

Me and my brother have had a few sets done at TWS, been happy with their work.

Looks like the safe bet so will stick with my booking with TWS.

Thanks all.

I would guess BMW were talking about sending them to Pristine in MK. We send our wheels there if they have polished faces, they're £60-90 per wheel plus postage £10 per wheel if they arrange.

What's the finish on the wheels you have? If they're polished and you're just having them painted you'll have to do all 4 for them to match!

It's simple kerb scratches on an absolutely standard finish wheel.

They are these

In that case any decent bodyshop can spray them for you. FWIW the wheel specialists set up looked pretty good when we popped along for the breakfast meet.

They've done three sets of wheels for me. Last set was for my Camaro. No damage, just changed from silver to satin black. £300, I think. Only took a couple of days, but you'll probably need to book in advance. They seem to be pretty busy. Will use them again.

I previously posted about my less than satisfactory service from 'The Wheel Specialist' in Ferndown. I had them confused with 'Silver Wheels' who are very close by. My apologies to TWS with whom I have had no dealings, but my comments referring to the other place still stand! I have removed the original post.

Very decent of you to amend that. Hope you got it all sorted in the end.
