What's Eddie (ecain63) doing now...?

It was in for a tune and a carbon front splitter.
Splitter went well and is now fitted, but the 520bhp+ upgrade will have to wait as the source file for my PPP C63 ECU was not on the Eurocharged ECU database. Once Eurocharged get the file off Merc and modify it Phil will upload it to the car and hey presto.
I assume you're linked to the Rebellion FB page?

Yup I am. I met Phil through my work, however! That'll be one quick Merc. Do you prefer it to the M5?Splitter went well and is now fitted, but the 520bhp+ upgrade will have to wait as the source file for my PPP C63 ECU was not on the Eurocharged ECU database. The M5 was ace. But,i always felt it to be a little highly strung, although it never let me down. It was a bloody quick car though and the sound was awesome.
The C63 is just a hooligan and it responds well to being battered and abused. Its a pure monster. Its not the sort of car you buy and drive sensibly, there is just too much ability and noise not to use it. Any slow mo's or people hogging the right hand lane and bosh! Only takes a slight dab of the pedal in any gear and you can get by safely before they've even noticed you're slightly out of order manoeuvre. The M5 was quick enough to do it too but you had to be in the right gear. By the time you'd down-shifted to 3rd, not only is it too late to surprise the car in front but everyone has heard you blipping the throttle like an F1 car and your cover is blown.
If the C63 had the quick fire gearbox of the M5 it'd be amazing. If the M5 had the thunderous 6.2V8 of the C63 I'd never have sold it. Practicality and ability with none of the effort or intensity.
