It may sound a bit cheeky and if that's the case then fair enough but does anyone here have an E65 7 series they wouldn't mind letting me have a look at?

Next year I'm tempted to replace my E38 with one and would love to see what they're like or hear thoughts in owners opinions of the car. I'm looking at either a 745i or 750i but any model would be a good guide!

Just want to see what they're like in terms of refinement, comfort, interior quality etc compared to the E38.

I'm based around chandler's ford but obviously don't mind a little drive out smile

Thanks in advance for any replies

Have you had a look at Scotthalls stock? They might have one in their used car section.

sadly they don't have any 7's in at all! i'm not sure what the dealer would think of a 24 year old turning up to look at a 7 series (mind you, i'd be turning up in another, admittedly older, one!).

The guy who runs the language school opposite my shop has had a 7 series of the vintage youre after for the past 3 years. Only 2 weeks ago he switched to a leased F10 520d. Have you considered the lease deals? The new 5 is as big and probably more plush than the outgoing 7.

i can't say that i have had a detailed look but upon a quick look all the "deals" are for 4 cylinder diesel cars and really don't fancy that at all, I really want a V8 petrol, or another more powerful 6er petrol at a minimum. I'm really after buying a car and somewhere around the £10k mark, give or take....i can add more if the right car came up. By the time i'm looking to buy I'll have the whole sum in the bank but would probably just pay a circa 30-40% deposit and then the rest on finance over 2, maybe 3 years. At least that way I'd have a car at the end of it unlike with lease deals.

thoughts?
