Just a heads up for anyone in the area, there was at least 14 cars done on Friday and Saturday nights last weekend.

Looks like little more than 'kids' trying to find cash as they were nothing more advanced than smashed windows as far as I know.

Mostly cars on people's driveways, don't think there were any that were just on the road, but a lot of it was relatively early on in the night I think (before pub kick out).

Thanks

It's been predominantly the Grange Park end of the area I think. Mostly off the lower end of Maunsell Way (Peppercorn Way up to Stanier Way and Shamblehurst Lane). My area unfortunately frown Will be keeping a keen eye out though!

I've heard there were a couple towards Telegraph Road kind of way, but whether they were linked or not, I don't know. Haven't heard of any strecthing as far as Tesco, but I've only been hearing through friends etc so might not have all the info!

interesting

My outlaws live just near Peter Coopers and as a result I often walk the dog around "Park view" / Welstead Way up by the lake

To get there I walk past the Tesco express by the tip, there have been some real unpleasant little oiks there since the schools went back

also, with anything in Hedge end I blame Terrier Close!

We're based near the petrol station right at the bottom of Allington Lane so think this is the other end, right?

hi ross
i might be confusing matters by talking about tescos in hedge end and west end at the same time

but yes, it sounds more like a Hedge end problem mainly

Im not a million miles from you it seems

I'm just off Moorgreen Road by the Southampton Arms. Not heard of any trouble down our way.

Not aware of anything in the Elliot Rise area.

What is the significance of Terrier Close?

I'm in Stanier way, so just round the way from you, and there was at least 2 done in my road on Friday night frown

Terrier Close has a bit of a bad reputation. I don't know it too well, but I've heard it's generally a bit of a hole! There's a fence around it - I get the impression it was put up to keep people in rather than to hold back the hoards of people desperate to buy a house there!

Seems they stuck to the west side of Old Shamblehurst Lane for some reason or maybe got that far and realised what they were doing was a bit pointless.

Strange though as its normally pretty quiet round here. Its meant to rain on Friday night so that will hopefully keep them off the streets this weekend.
