Build a Westfield Evening Class - Weymouth
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm talking to one of the lecturers at Weymouth College about running an evening course to build a Westfield. We need 5-8 people to construct a Westfield from a donor MX5. Full instruction and equipment are included. No previous experience is necessary, although knowing the difference between a screwdriver and spanner may help. You may get dirty fingernails!
More details here from the previous course back in Dec 2012: http://www.dorseteye.com/north/articles/new-adult-...
If you're interested, please contact me via PM and I'll see if we have enough people to start the course. I'm looking to obtain a preferential rate but it will probably be a few hundred quid each. The experience and skills gained will be invaluable, not to mention the satisfaction of being able to say that you built a Westfield!
!! NUMBERS ARE LIMITED !! If you are interested, please contact me ASAP! I will be travelling from Poole/Bournemouth if anyone needs a lift.
Ian.
PS. Sadly the ownership of the finished article remains with the college.
However I'm sure some test drives can be arranged.

Here is the link to the Westfield site for the kit that we will be building: http://www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/donorkit.htm...
Glad you enjoyed it!
I hope everyone got an equal share of the fun. I got a bit carried away dismantling things to check that everyone else was having fun!
Looking forward to next Tuesday!
Edited to add: warm spacious garage, all the right tools, help immediately to hand... this is MUCH more enjoyable than previous car mechanics. I didn't even utter a single swear word!

I know exactly what you mean. It was very enjoyable and very useful having someone on hand passing you tools. I hope everyone got an equal share of the fun. I got a bit carried away dismantling things to check that everyone else was having fun!

I too got a little carried away with what I was doing, barely looked up!
The only downside was the drive over, 1.5 hours each way is a bit of a mission after work!
