'Army' or 4x4 location for film shoot?
Discussion
I'm looking for a suitable location for some filming and testing of a new product.
I'm also after a couple of bodies dressed in Camo gear with AK-47s and somewhere with an army type location that will set it all off nicely.
Somewhere with nice steep hills would be good for showing off the off-road ability (they're got excellent traction and brakes).
Within say a half hour or so from Winchester would be ideal.
Any ideas? Or anybody want to be an actor for a half day? Or even has a kid that would like to get involved? They're suitable from around age 14-ish.
Payment offered, or just for fun, or whatever.
I don't mind hiring a venue for half a day or something if anybody has any suggestions? Any 4x4 centres local to Winchester?

I am in the Army and could probably help out with a couple of people in uniform.
Your problem lies with AK-47s. For obvious reasons.
That would be awesome, but I think real soldiers would be a bit too bulky! Does the army keep any lightweight soldiers in stock?Your problem lies with AK-47s. For obvious reasons.
Plastic AKs would be ok....

PHers are welcome to come and

Nice product, could I suggest the bonnet catches go in the more authentic position??
Good luck with your venue hunt!
Good point. I'll see what I can do for the next batch.Good luck with your venue hunt!
In all fairness, it's not a scale replica, rather an interpretation of the original.
If nothing else, it's a darned sight more comfortable to drive than a real one.

Me!

Ha, sure, my brother is more soldier than me though! I do have a girlfriend who might like to camo up!

A few years ago we did something similar to what you want to do at Rogershill Raceway in Bere Regis Dorset. Give them a call and speak to Danny or Danielle I'm sure they will be happy to talk to you about it. Say Kelvin recommended you call them
Here's a bit of a photo montage from when we were there. There's Bovington Tank Museum just up the road too so plenty of Military about also. Ignore the first 15 seconds as that was at Exeter when it was a busy show....

Oh and just remembered Bushfield Army Camp, near Badger Farm.
