I'm looking for a suitable location for some filming and testing of a new product.

I'm also after a couple of bodies dressed in Camo gear with AK-47s and somewhere with an army type location that will set it all off nicely.

Somewhere with nice steep hills would be good for showing off the off-road ability (they're got excellent traction and brakes).

Within say a half hour or so from Winchester would be ideal.

Any ideas? Or anybody want to be an actor for a half day? Or even has a kid that would like to get involved? They're suitable from around age 14-ish.

Payment offered, or just for fun, or whatever. smile

I don't mind hiring a venue for half a day or something if anybody has any suggestions? Any 4x4 centres local to Winchester?

I am in the Army and could probably help out with a couple of people in uniform.
Your problem lies with AK-47s. For obvious reasons.

Nice product, could I suggest the bonnet catches go in the more authentic position??

Good luck with your venue hunt!

That would be awesome, but I think real soldiers would be a bit too bulky! Does the army keep any lightweight soldiers in stock?

Plastic AKs would be ok.... wink

PHers are welcome to come and play test any time, just drop me a PM. smile

Good point. I'll see what I can do for the next batch.

In all fairness, it's not a scale replica, rather an interpretation of the original.

If nothing else, it's a darned sight more comfortable to drive than a real one. smile

You and I both know a man with a collection of de-activated weapons including an AK-47, Andy, give him ring!

Has he? Yay! Didn't manage to catch up with him before we both went away, I'll give him a call.

Has he got any camo gear too?

Imber on Salisbury plain, although its only open on certain dates

I took my jimny to a pay and play day at slab common last week, lots of odd military vehicles dotted about that you can climb on there

My father has some quite cool hill in his fields, but he's in Piddlehinton! Maybe a bit too far!

And I'd love to come and play in them smile I even have camouflage clothing!

(As long as it's not too soon, having a shoulder decompression Tuesday :-/)

There are a few good places your direction. Muddy Bottom 4x4 in Lyndhurst is one of them, a great place to play in the mud. I can gain together some AirSoft weapons if that would help? And a fair few guys in camo

I heard Muddy Bottom has closed due to the landowner selling it for development.

A few years ago we did something similar to what you want to do at Rogershill Raceway in Bere Regis Dorset. Give them a call and speak to Danny or Danielle I'm sure they will be happy to talk to you about it. Say Kelvin recommended you call them

Here's a bit of a photo montage from when we were there. There's Bovington Tank Museum just up the road too so plenty of Military about also. Ignore the first 15 seconds as that was at Exeter when it was a busy show....

Yes he has camo gear as well, Matt might be able to help as well, he has a Saracen and all the associated gear.

Oh and worst I've got a Lambo post ever!
