Hardwoods Test Drive Day
Discussion
I went and had a bit of fun
I drove the F-type 5.0 V8 and was a little disappointed, it was certainly quick but a bit too sterile. The Coupe looked very nice
The 2014 V8 Vantage was also disappointing due to the absolute abortion that is the sportshift 2 system. Apart from the gearbox the car was just about identical to mine, which is 7 years old now.
Now the Vantage V12S was a different story - wow that car is awesome! I have looked at the going rate for selling organs but still not sure how I will afford one.
The RR Sport was pretty cool too
For something completely different I also drove the Bentley Flying Spur W12 - I am sure that it is the closest I will get to driving a Veyron (same engine but with less Superchargers). My apologies to the other guys that came out with me as I was 'pressing on a bit' and didn't make allowance for the fact that it weighs about 15 tonnes.
