So today I became a man or something like that smile I not only purchased my first RWD car but a Porsche at that over the last few years the long slogs and sacrifices have meant that I am now back and behind the wheel of a fun car.

So what is this machine of mystery and intrigue and a car that is high up on my bucket list well its a Porsche 944 and thanks to being patient and speaking to people in the know who kept there eyes peeled iv ended up with a 944 S2.

She is no prize winning beauty queen but she is hot just needs a little bit of fettling she is 25 years old after all.

mechanically she is fine apart from a cam chain guide and a new cam chain. on the out side she needs a little tlc she is by no means rusty just needs a little bit of patching / tidying hear and there.

so more of a rolling resto then a full blown project ( why do I think those are the famous last words !!!! )

anyway hear are a couple of pics I grabbed this afternoon and I will add more here asap.

Nice one Nick thumbup
She looks like a little beauty and of course you've got her in the best colour. Really looks good on the gunmetal grey alloys!
At least I won't be the only one at the meets with a classic car...
Look forward to seeing it soon! cool

Great car, later one with Turbo spoiler too !

I had one back in the day, great engine, breathed so well, and economy was good if not ragged on the commute. Put a set of A008Ps on and it handled so well....

Remember to close the hatch by pressing down in the middle ! Stories of rear screens shattering when pulled down from one side or the other.

I'd do the chain and tensioner sooner rather than later. Mine developed chain rattle, as guide on tensioner had worn through. Chain caught on the pad one day, ripped tensioner from the head and beat through the cam cover ! Damaged both cams and bent some valves. It took me around 9 months to get s/h head and all the bits to put back together !
