April 1st is Back on the Road Day for me.

Following 6-months SORN I have Taxed the Z4MR and it is being washed & hoovered today and is ready for the summer ahead. I have quite a lot planned....

MOT later this month
BIG Inspection II service early May
2,500 mile road trip with a friend in a Morgan Aero 8 to Auschwitz, via France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic into Poland, then back via Germany, Holland, Belgium and into France.

Highlights are:
Normandy Beaches
Swiss & Austrian Alpine Passes
Eagles Nest
Auschwitz
Stalag Luft III
Colditz
Ruhr Dams
Dunkirk

Anyone else putting their car back on the road from today or have any biggies planned for this year??

ey up Paul,

sounds like an epic mate, sure you'll enjoy that. We got plans to take the MX turbo down to Montenegro. We cot to northern Croatia last year which was stunning but eight days was not enough.
plans are, with nothing booked, through Belgium overnight and into the Black forest for breakfast, Munich way and up to the Eagles Nest, as we never got there on previous trips. Through Austria, overground this time. Motorways just seem to be forever tunnels which get a bit boring after 100km.
want to go to Lake Bled and Lez has found some horsey centre place in Slovenia which she wants to visit.
Back to Rovinj, Croatia, what a place, and then down to Split, Dubrovnic and onwards to Montenegro. Maybe try to get into Albania too, if we get the time.

We're off mid June so will hopefully catch good weather.
keep us posted on the trip as yours sounds like the sort of thing that appeals in the future.
