Can anyone recommend a good independent VW garage in the Dorset area.

I've been recommended the VW dealership in Dorchester as well, has anyone used them? What are they like?

Bit of a way but the nearest one I can think of is JKM motorsport in Portsmouth.

Thanks but a bit too far really. Ideally Poole/Bournemouth way or even South Somerset (girlfriend lives there).

I've not used them myself but have heard very good things of Autowork in Salisbury.
They are VAG specialists and have excellent reviews. Not too far from Dorset and a nice drive up smile
Report back if you do use them as I've been meaning to give them a go at some point.

When I had my Audi A3 I'd used Hines in Ferndown. Never had any issues, they were always very good at explaining issues & options to fix.

Cheers! Will have a look smile. Service and MOT isn't needed until October time, and have a decent garage already, but useful to know of other places.

^^ VAS Works have been around a while, used to work on my various Cupra's back in the day.

What kind of VW? For modern VAG stuff it’s Kartechnic, I’ve heard good things about VAS works too, but my T6 has all its mechanical bits modified at Kartechnic and I’d wholly recommend them.
