As title, really.

I am looking for a trustworthy independent garage/workshop as an alternative to main dealers.

Any recommendations, please?

Watching with interest.
Was looking for one myself, but Slough/Heathrow.

There's very few Toyota/Lexus specialists about.

Because they don't go wrong very much I guess.

There is one near me in Cambridgeshire, Fensport Performance.

Just had a look at their website, not sure if they still run a workshop nowadays?

Bit far from you but I used Japex in Kings Langley near Watford when I had my Lexus. They know these and Japanese cars well.

.
Thanks very much for the replies.

I doubt there will be any more now that mods have moved my request from General Gassing to a cob-webby corner.

Yes Harrington are great value and very honest; they look after my mother's Yaris.
I have used Lex Tech in Droxford for many years, they are excellent and really know their stuff: https://www.lex-tech.co.uk/

They're a small independent but Stuart, the guy who runs it, is as honest as they come and know his Toyota/Lexus onions too.

Many thanks. (Did you keep any dashcam footage of your (friend's?!) trailer exploit?) smile

Can confirm he's an honest guy, just rang him up looking to get wheel bearings replaced on my GT86 and he refused telling me to bite the dealer's hand off if they offered me book price as it's an absolute bd of a job!

Ha, no! it was pitch black and I'd carried a mates mr2turbo from kent -> harrington's via the A3 where the Hindhead Tunnel was closed. We had to navigate stop/start traffic over the hill it goes under, on lanes that had overgrown passing places and LOTS of traffic..
By the time I got it unloaded at Harrington's I was pretty determined to get back on the motorway and back to civilisation.. I think the gouges/marks I left on the south entrances slope as the trailer levelled out on the road are still there and the noise that it made still reverberating off the tree's.

Another positive for Harrington's was that they're not just Toyota/Lexus.. I had them do a job on a T5 transporter once, mainly because they seemed really interested in doing the work in a car nerd recognises car nerd sort of way, more often than not there's a rusting piece of '70's British automotive past up on the ramp too.
