Hi guys,

Just bought a 97 BMW with a full AC Schnitzer kit on it but the wheel arches are bubbled up slightly and could do with repainting - plus I MIGHT get the front bumper done at the same time as has a scratch.

Also want to get the alloys refurbed as the paint has worn off them slightly.

Any recommendations in the Eastleigh/Winchester/Romsey area? And any idea on costs for either job??? - the rust is only at the edge of the arches so assume that can be sprayed in without having each panel totally resprayed!

Cheers,

Mike

The Wheel Specialist in Fareham is the most recommended for wheel refurbs, their work is spot on!

Cheers, they've quoted me £299 for all four wheels.

Any paintwork recommendations?

yep, apart from the diamond encrusted centre caps.

any other recommendations then - figured £75 a wheel was the going rate for decent work? ears

Are you wheels genuine?

If not, new ones would be less than 300

Spit and Polish charge me 35 a wheel, that is trade but that is a big difference.

I also use a bodyshop that fill and paint for 60 a set.

Pauloh - they are genuine 17 inch Type 2's.

Sadly spit and polish are a bit of a trek away so would like a fairly local refurber...prices seem to vary a lot but want a decent standard of work.

I paint cars for a living, £75.00 per wheel is not ripping you off if they are done right ie taken off, £60.00 a set sounds like an aerosol job i dont think you would be happy with the outcome at that price.

£75 a wheel is cheap IMO.
