I quite liked it!
As long as it's a clear day, the view is pretty good.

Thanks, I read on the website they give discount to PO postcodes, sadly mine is a BA postcode, looking to go tomorrow if the weather is nice and clear.

It's only the city centre PO post codes. I have a PO post code but no discount for me. However I'd say yes, it is worth it smile

I thought it was a lot of money for entry to a building that already looks three times it's age. The 'feature' glass lift has never worked and the whole place already needs a lick of paint. There's rust coming through everywhere.
Fair enough it's a nice view but they must be very unhappy that you can obtain the same view from the newly contructed towerblock (The Lipstick) opposite.

So the glass lift has never worked?Ever? Not once?

Slightly incorrect there, but hey ho.

I thought it hadn't ever worked too!? I seem to remember it got half way up and they've been "fixing" it since... perhaps you can explain otherwise. I'm not sure what good it will do though, the lift still won't be working smile

I'd agree with the general concensus above, it's well worth a visit on a clear day!

OK then, I'll say in the 20-30 times I've been to Gunwharf since the tower opened 'X' years late, ( wouldn't want to get that wrong but didn't Portsmouth celebrate their Millennium feature 5 years after the event??? ) The Glass elevator has never been working.

Personally I thought it was a bit shcensoredt. having gone to the trouble of building it they could have put something up there like a restaurant or something.

The glass floor is quite good the first time you step on it but after 30 seconds of entertainment it's all over (insert your own joke here).

We went up to the top of the tower fairly recently, and the view is great. take your ID and get your discout makes you feel better anyway but it is worth a visit.

However just the other day we went up to the top of the sky tower in Auckland and that is breathtaking saw some nutcase jump off the side silly bugger suppose he did have a piece of string attached to his orange overalls that saved him from hitting the ground too fast.......

Just do it!!!!!!
