At last I get to stretch the legs of the M5 on a trackday at Colerne airfield on Monday 5th October.

Arranged through motorsport-events, and I did one there previously and it was excellent (even in a 320d auto)

I've even bought off ebay a spare set of rear wheels/tyres to take with me to ensure maximum fun...!

Are any other South coasters going (or interested in going)?

I might be up for this one if I can get the car serviced beforehand.

With the VX in your profile pic I assume? You been there before?

Yup. Not been to that one, but had my eyes on the 3-4 airfield circuits around Wiltshire. They are very good value and after doing Odiham I should imagine good, safe fun.

Nice one, and yeah no worries I'm sure I can sort out a ride. I'll come for a ride in yours in return.

I have a couple of friends coming along but usually there is good track time there so should be plenty of opportunity to share the rides....

see you there.

Was tempted by this, but decided to do Snetterton in November when I go up to visit my parents.

For those who do go, can you give the Hedtec helmets they sell a butcher's? Thinking about getting the full face one. Cheers.

Richard

Thanks for the ride in the M5- quite an experience: the car and your driving!

Hope your tyres got you home!

cheers

Any pics chaps? Good day? My car is waiting for a trip to the garage for some TLC otherwise I would have been game.

HereBeMonsters - Heard mixed reviews on those Hedtec lids, overall though they seem great value but you pay for what you get.

Will be getting some pictures and videos up soon.

Am having trouble uploading to YouTube for some reason so that's really annoying.
Have ordered pics from the photographer because there's a couple of beauty's of the M5 in drift...!

Looks like they've changed the track layout somewhat since I was last there. It was still like Keevil when I was there last, bit different now.
