Thanks to various people for helping me move the car!
Discussion
Just a generic thanks to the people who helped me get the car unstuck (3 times today!) around Gosport today.
Obviously a slim chance they're PHers, but a big thanks for helping me out!
One guy chuckled at me and said "I used to have one of those, but they're crap in the snow. So I bought an Integrale..."
There are some genuinely nice and helpful people out there still!

Hey Luke, there's one for sale near me, if you fancy a swap? I'm over at Badger-world next week, I wonder if I'll get back up the hill...
Bit early for that, only picked this one up on the 23rd December!
What have you been commuting in? The MX-5 has been stupidly sideways on the way to work... an LSD certainly makes roundabouts fun though... even if the sliding is unplanned!
We've dodged most of it, so far - the line seems to be around Picket Post. Just enough white to build a snow-guinea pig, sadly. Over Xmas & New Year the 5 did the family tour of England, so it's coated in a thick layer of sludge & ice, so last week the 3 took the load, rather than snap the door handles breaking in. Next week I'm hoping to car share with a Cherokee driver, just in case...I hear some ended up sleeping in cupboards at Fareham

I'm fully expecting if the predicted weather comes, that I'll get stuck at Swanwick!
A friend of mine had to abandon his MX-5 by the Security gate the other day as he couldn't drive out...!
My car is hideously filthy as well!!!
not good, all that salt A friend of mine had to abandon his MX-5 by the Security gate the other day as he couldn't drive out...!

The biggest problem with getting an MX5 stuck in snow, is the fact that all the owners seem to have a common genetic problem, which leaves them with chronicly limp wrists. This makes it impossible to get a grip on the car in order to push it out of the snow.
Only joking
