Anyone know of any Alfa GTV's for sale in Hampshire and surrounding areas?

Am looking for a new car and have looked at Pistonheads/Autotrader but was wondering if the good folk of the South Coast have seen any decent looking GTV's in their local garages - or even if you know someone that might be selling one? thumbup

Will probably either going to get an older model for up to £1500 or I could push the budget to almost £2500 if I saw a mint one with history/cambelt/posh leather!

(PS: if anyone owns an Alfa and wants to give me some pointers on what to look for that wqould be much appreciated too!)

Seen a green one most mornings heading down towards Spitfire Roundabout at Winchester - anyone on here? Has got a GTV numberplate I think.

Shame, I sold mine 6 months ago.
As for what to look out for, apart from the obvious, check the wishbones for rust.
Also make sure that all the electrics work, I spent many a happy hour standing on my head in the drivers footwell!!
Engine and gearbox are fairly trouble free.
Good luck in your hunt.

Hi Mikeyr

I'm currently looking to sell my GTV, though I haven't put it on the market yet. Unfortunately I work in the middle east and won't be back to the UK for about a month or so. The car itself is a black 2.0 twinspark, 1996 (N), with black leather interior, low mileage (if memory serves its around the 52-53k mark, can't remember off the top of my head), no modifications (apart from GTA-style alloy wheels, however I still have the original pepperpots too), service history, cd player.

The car is good runner and a great drive, and i'm sorry to see it go.

If the uploader worked there should be a pic of it here, if you're interested let me know! When I am back in the UK I reside in Bournemouth, hopefully thats near enough for you.

Cheers

Thanks Costas - I actually bought one yesterday (99 model, Trofeo Red, V6 Lusso) so will get some piccies up soon.

Might be worth checking out the similar thread on the Alfa forum section as someone was looking for a GTV on there?

PS: picture hosting didn't work for me frown

Good stuff! They're a great car and I don't doubt that you'll have a lot of fun in it!

Thanks for the heads up on the alfa thread, I'll go check it out at some point!

Enjoy your purchase and the italian v6 goodness!!
