Ok so who was the absolute legend who managed to spin their new BMW 1 series coupe on Cambridge Rd, Bournemouth.

Whoever it was did a nice job of grounding themselves out sideways on the central reservation. How on earth did that happen?

Have to say this really is a testament to how entertaining the 1 series coupe must be. Where do I sign I want one smile

Amen Nick.

Can't imagine how anyone could spin it on that stretch unless they somehow managed to give it too much welly coming out of the roundabout from Westbourne direction.

Remember seeing once an old style VW Beetle balanced across the crash barriers where the M27 starts at the eastern end. It would appear the driver decided they didn't want the motorway and dived off for the Hilsea exit. they must have got the car sideways because it went up the armco and was perched on top perfectly balanced.

Not sure I described that too well.

Yes, I saw that to, if I recall, it was an Asian family with a novice female driver at the wheel, but luckily, no one was injured.

One would assume he had come from Westbourne way, but either way it takes some serious doing. Verdict: Ran out of talent.

Mate of mine did the same in his Sierra Sapphire Cossie, way back: just after his ambition overtook his talent, the rear wheels overtook the front...& ripped most of the underneath off it: less then 1hr on the road...looks like this guy was slightly luckier!

Ha ha, yes it was.

Clipped indeed! Sure it wasn't an over active right foot and a heavy down pour. Either way the result was pretty spectacular.
