Due to the serious lack of hoons organised for this region, I was forced to enrol in The Surrey run last Sunday, over 100 cars took part in a well organised run, however the choice of roads left a little to be desired of. Leaving all eager for more, the latest hoon is being planned for Sussex, would be nice to see our regular South Coast members put their names down, so here is a link to the thread; http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... Run?&mid=125116

For those interested, it may also be an idea to register your name not only on the main thread, but also here, so I'll kick off with my son & I.

I turned up to the Surrey one. The route was a bit of a harsh ride I have to say! I'll have a look at this Sussex run.

We did try it a year or two ago, hardly anybody showed.
Was abandoned within 3 miles due to it being roughtly 5 cars of different speed variations.

If people were up for a Surrey Rolling Road day and a hoon back I'd be interested.

Justin-was this down at Shoreham?

Date hasn't been set for the Sussex run as I work almost every weekend.

I remember the little KA, you kept up with me on the twisties upto crawley down but then I'm no good topend as only a tiddler 1.6 and then gets light on the front being midengined.

Didn't like them speed humps at the airport either :-(

Just a thought to throw in the mix. A couple of weeks back I went up to Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands for a nosy about. Chatting to the staff (as you do) it seems that they show all the F1 GPs on a large screen on a Sunday...and it's free smile

If you have a suitable Sunday afternoon free, 'someone' could always organise a Sussex/Surrey hoon through the countryside, have a nosy around MB World for an hour and lick some car windows, grab some food from their restaurant/cafe, then kick back and watch the GP?

Or would that tie up too much of a day?
