I know this will have been done before but any highly recommended shops around? My wife will need some work on her Clio 197 (done through the insurance company) so we want somewhere that we can be certain will do it right first time, and supply a loan car.

Advice on a post card please......

Based where? We do have a spare car so a loaner isn't 100% necessary, it just makes things easier for drop off and collection.

Spooky. Just booked in at Darracott. Not sure of the quality of the work, but the Customer Service can't be faulted.

A good lesson there for many organisations; you can do a fantastic job but if your customer facing function is pants you let yourself down badly (I used to use a bunch of guys who were fantastic at bodyworks stuff, but were crap as far as every other business area was concerned).

I had an Insurance job done at Darracott years ago and they were completely fine. The work was great.
However if I was paying for it myself I would go to Insignia as he is just as good but a whole lot cheaper. Insignia are on the insurance company lists I guess he just didn't pop up this time for you.

A friend of mine had some work done on his Mini there years ago and it was very good. I had a quote from them last year and they were prohibitively expensive, dearer than Horizon Honda's own body shop, but at least they managed to spell mym surname correctly unlike Honda.

Cheers John - I'll file that away. We're bound to need some work on our MX5 at some stage as it's just starting to get a little ragged around the edges.

Mr Ridddddings- are you talking about Insignia or Darracott?

I was about to post Darracott ...

My eldest brother worked for Roy Peach from 1980-1986 as a panel beater before moving to the U.S and A to run a much larger shop himself, which he still does!
If Darracott have the same exacting standards now as they did then, you'll have no problems.
