Morning All, long time no speak......been busy trying to sort the latest 21 turbo....

Mrs Cooke has troubles with her usually trusty Golf Mk4 - it went in for a service running sweet & came out running like a pig..problem is in her wisdom she drove it for a few days before telling me or the the garage about the problem - so obviously it's not there problem although they did spend nearly an hour trying to track the fault down on Saturday...

Could someone kindly recommend a VW specialist in and around the Salisbury/Blandford area.....i just want it sorted or have another opinion before shelling out more money.....

Looking forward to some useful pointers.......

Thanks....wavey

what ! lol. if all your pipes are on correctly, possible air maas failure (maf), happens sometimes when the air filter changed.

Ah....the redbaron......aren't you in Alderbury..?? What's your work contact number...??

I did try disconnecting the airflow meter & the Golf ran even worse so i presumed it wasn't that.....frown

Any chance the lovely Mrs Cooke could run the Golf down to you sometime...??

Thanks in advance..

No Lara's been taking the Golf to Autoworks in Salisbury for the past couple of years but they're talking about replacing the cat & quoted £500 just for the part....nono & i'm sure it's ignition or the like.....

Is it M&M in Alderbury...??

Big thanks to the redbaron......Mrs Cooke has paid M&M a visit & her Golf is booked in for the repairs on Friday - hopefully it'll all be sorted & M&M will have another customer.....

Thanks Martin, the golfs all sorted & drives spot on again...
It turned out it was the cat, leads & a dodgy sparkplug that was "checked" by the other garage....I believe Mrs Cooke has paid them a "visit"...
Thanks again..!!
