I went to watch it being filmed this week, I really enjoyed being there, but thought this weeks show really wasn't one of the best! They need to get rid of the star in the crap car part, it's usally someone who isn't particularly entertaining and is blatantly just there to plug their latest book/film/hair product!

That said I still love to watch it every week! hehe

I agree that the format is tired now and its not a programme for car enthusiasts any more.

The car reviews they do are awful and always follow the format of:
1. this car is amazing but don't buy one
2. this car is turd you have got to get one
or
3. this manufacturer is giving me some great incentives so I will always say their cars are great (allegedly judge)

Kinda missing the point there though... It's common knowledge that if you want to watch serious(ish) car journalism then you watch Fifth Gear, as that was why Five bought the format and most of the cast from the BBC. If you want light entertainment you can watch with the Mrs/other non-car enthusiasts and that is just a bit of light hearted fun, then you'd watch topgear and sky+ fifth gear.

Or am I the only one who's worked that out?

(I for one, find TG is one of the few things I will regularly watch on the TV as I find it entertaining)

With you there, I wouldn't take a single thing they say/do as based on any kind of fact, it's just a bit of a giggle.

Got to agree with another poster though, that C-Lister in a st car bit needs to be dropped.

I've always enjoyed Topgear BUT did anyone else ntoice despite all the wonderful exotica (ugly Panamera excluded ofcourse!) that at NO stage do they actually mention BHP anymore?!!!! Have they been banned about talking about power?! Sad git that I am I actually rewond the skyplus a few times and at no stage did they mention BHP on ANY of the cars in this weeks..... strange... BUT have tickets for this weeks show so I will be sure sure to ask smile
