I have a mate who needs to get a new motor, and has up to about £3k to spend. It needs to be reliable and fairly economical. Not your usual request for help on here, and im not looking for suggestions on models as for that money I know its going to be Clios, Fiesta etc etc. I just wondered if anyone knew of any cars around that they may have seen for sale or if anyone is selling something that may fit the bill. Cheers Jim

Indeed my C70 is for sale. I think you'd be hard pushed to find anything as clean, powerful and fully loaded as that for the budget.

It's available immediately too and has 12 months mot and 6 months tax on it. If he wants a look and a drive, let me know and we'll meet up.

I dont know if its of interest but I have a 206GTi for sale at £1k, its in the classifieds. Just passed MOT so has a full 12 months, needs a little cosmetic paint and at some point the front suspension arms will need doing (advisory on MOT).

Have been quoted £400 for the paint and replace suspension arms when the time comes, but selling at a bargain price now to hopefully sell it on quickly (I have another car and this one is no longer needed). Its very reliable and I get mid to high 30's to a gallon out and about.
