Who can help me with a speed limit for this section of the A31 through the New Forest please. There is currently a speed camera/ radar van parked where the green arrow is cop

I went past at circa 70, but if the limit is 60 then I'm getting 3 points I guess. That assumes that the man with the gun can take my picture at 200m+ before I slowed right down wink

No it's not. There's always a barrier down the middle isn't there?

derestricted dual carriageway, 70mph as far as i'm aware, derestricted single carriageway is 60mph.
If they want to limit the A31 to 60, i believe they have to signpost limits.

20mph over the limit then.

Yeah, vans and hgv is a funny one. On a normal national limit single carrigway the limit for cars is 60 and for hgv its 40. But if its signposted 50 then its 50 for both cars and lorries. It don't make sense but that's the way it works.

70 limit. I always stop for petrol at the Shell garage, so turn off before the camera van.

Whilst putting fuel in last night, the number of cars 'flying' past the van were unbelievable - an Audi A6 driver is not going to be very happy that is for sure!

Luckily for me my van is just a car derived Clio van but unluckily for me my notice of intended prosecution came through this morning. 81mph in a 70mph limit. Only got myself to blame lol

That's a 70. Gone through a camera at 70 with no word from the old bill before.

That is a great road for making progress, but they quite often have the van there, just as you com eup over the hill, the bar stweards!!!! i ALWAYS make sure i slow down on that section, and im sure you will aswell!!!

on the same lines, i think i might have been caught in my pug, on the a331 was miles always and as i was going under a bridge looked in rear view to see a white van on the bridge behind me! hopefully it was a works van as wasnt there 30mnins later!!
