Seriously chaps, is everybodys partner aggressively bi-polar when they're pregnant, and if so, any tips for maintaining a level head greatly appreciated...

Every tiny thing is enough to illicit a massively OTT reaction at the moment and it's driving me spare.

For sure bud, but just put yourself in their shoes, and then thank god you are not, it only is for 9 months then for a few months after too!

Cheers for the help guys tongue out

SadlerJ - her shoes don't fit... I do try and be understanding but it's kinda hard when you're almost thrown out your own house at 2 in the morning for merely suggesting that she may have been snoring wink

Damn man, hope it improves for you. Never found myself in that situation and hope I never do. Kids aren't my bad and neither is being awoken from my slumber by snoring.

I'm sure it will - she knows she's caught the mental so hopefully we'll be able to curtail it between us. Otherwise I guess it's only another 6 months to deal with it biggrin

Tell her to buck up and control those hormones or she will soon be single and living in a council flat! Just be sure to do it on the phone out of range of any sharp objects wink

Lots of chocolate but not too many flowers, sudden strange cravings and all that. Apparently too much pollen makes you hairy and your teeth turn yellow.

Haha, that did occur to me...

I decided to take the direct option and raise it (I made sure I was driving on the Motorway at the time, meaning that I couldn't be attacked) - she knows, she can't help it and I believe her...

Hopefully now she's at the end of the first trimester, things will return to normal.

Please let them return to normal tongue out

I thought you had enough high heels of your own Dan.

The mentalness should pass. Still a very scary time for her mate.

I broke them with my awesomeness Matt wink

And yes, you're right. I did realise perhaps I'm being a little unreasonable too, it's just hard when you have no idea what to say!

Nothing is normal from now on. Things will never get better, just different.

Capri-sun's and pancake rolls from the local chinese seemed to keep my B/H happy during her pregnancy. Then she got whisked into hospital at 31weeks onwards and was always glad to see me in the evenings, so never really got ratty by then!

15months on and in the advanced stages of teething....well, you'll find out!
