nice pub in Lyndhurst / Christchurch area?

Hi all, bit of an odd question I know!
I'll be travelling down to Poole tomorrow to collect a Skoda rally car shell, and would like to find somewhere nice to stop for an evening bar snack (with missus in tow). Is there anywhere recommendable between Lyndhurst & Christchurch?

If you can go out onto the forest then the red shoot inn is very pleasant!

Hobbler, just outside Lymington.

The Hobler is very good, as is the Red Lion in Boldre for really fresh local food. It's all supplied by the Sway Butchers. Red Shoot is good too as mentioned. Wasn't a big fan of The Boathouse to be honest.

The 'New Forest', just the far side of Lyndhurst on the A35 by Ashurst station isn't bad and easy to get to/find. Good Fullers beer.

The Oak at Bank just before you get into Lyndhurst coming from Christchurch; also The Royal Oak at Fritham. Good food and BEER at both.
