I am off up to the O2 next Saturday, does anyone have any tips on parking up there.

At the moment I am planning on parking on the O2 car park, but assume it will take hours to get out, but if there is somewhere to park close by that will avoid all the hold ups (and safe) then I would prefer that

Park here every day and, unless the Blackwall Tunnel is borked, entry and exit is not an issue.

You can park at North Greenwich tube station which is cheaper than the O2s and is next to the O2 but you risk not being able to get a space

The O2s own car park is expensive and can be pre booked and they usually have spaces on the day - I guess its far bigger than the tube station.

Traffic getting out ain't too bad it has to be said.

The area aroudn the O2 aside from those 2 car parks doesnt seem to be residential and I wouldnt bother trying to park elsehwre unless you knwo the area well.

I drove up there last weekend. Use the NCP station car park, it's closer than the other car parks. £8 weekdays, £7 Saturdays and £3 Sundays. Coins only though.

Head for Edmund Halley Way I think it is.

I use North Greenwich tube station three days a week, gets pretty full if something big is on at the 02 in the evening (as I'm leaving), but the whole place is pretty well set up for driving/parking... guessing it takes a while to exit at the end of a concert, nothing like Wembley however!

The tube station car park does have credit card machines too; less than it used to though, and they take an age to work/approve the transaction - the one on the far side (by the road going past) is usually the best bet I've found... well, at 0630 it is anyway!
