You take ya chances and you get caught. I imagine there are plenty of us out there who run the risk every day.

I guess it suprises me that many people would say 'bum deal' but if you were doing the speed limit and over the drink drive limit we'd hope they'd throw the book at you.

Oh and before anyone retorts, I know the OP wasn't drink driving he was only caught for doing nearly double the speed limit.

OP, if this has shaken you up enough to shock you into reducing your speed (asuming the charge is correct)then I hope you get off. What benefit would a ban do for you?

If it constitutes a 'slanging match' then I apologies but I really don't think it does.

I'd recomend Peter Clarke in Southampton, I got busted at 110 on M27 and he got me 3 week ban, very happy with that! He is also taking my latest magistrates penalty to crown court for appeal, Very capable motor solicitor imo
