I know it's a long shot but anyone got one? Know someone who has got one etc etc

I stupidly whilst feeding ducks with the family managed to throw the bread and my silver ring came flying off my Cold hands and landed about 15ft out!!

The ponds isn't deep only about 1 1/2 - 2ft just wondering if anyone had an underwater metal detector I could borrow/hire as the water to mucky to see the bottom! The ring has more sentimental value than monetrie!

Al

Many Thanks

Jake

Is it in your pond at your house???

If it is then there are garden pond hoovers you can use to clean the pond they suck up all the rubbish from the bottom and it goes through a net / mesh filter??

Just a thought?

unfortunately its not at my house, i have a pond at my house but a small pygmy child could reach accross it.

It is on the isle of wight at the dairys man daughter at arreton village whilst i was holidaying with family, gotta head back on saturday so thinking of the metal detector might be worth shout, or i have to wait until a professional deep sea treasure hunter, who luckily runs the martime museum on site to get back from portugal.

the problem with this pond is its an old church pond so has about 2 foot of silt in it.

I live on a boat, people are constantly dropping keys etc into the marina, one of these is invaluable. They are very strong, we even hauled a patio umbrella out with one once smile

Most marine chandlerys sell them too so you could pick one up on your way or in Cowes or somewhere.

NB: magnets don't attract silver - doh! However sterling silver is 92.5% silver, the rest is other metals and this is a very strong magnet, so you may get lucky.
