Hi folks,

Need to park near to Southampton Guildhall afternoon/evening on a Saturday. Any suggestions for something close/safe/ntoo pricey/with a chance of getting parked on a Saturday!?

Ta!

Leisure world is free after a certain time (not sure what though, might be 2 or 3pm) and is only a 10 minute walk away.

It's a fair walk, it's the other side of IKEA from it.

Here's a map of all the car parks

Prices, sat nav post codes

There's loads my Tesco, Toys R Us, Mother Care, JJB etc, I it's free but limited on time. I/we always go for West Quays.

Try parking in London road or Bedford place. They are both free at that time, and a lot closer than leisure world.

There are various bits of on road parking nearby but its a case of getting there early enough to get a space but also being within 1 hour of when pakring charges finish (which is 6.30pm i think).

The 2 car parks I have used are in Bedford Place and St Marys. Both are proper car parks.

On the map they are numbers 7 and 19.

Multi story car park near the Mayflower (number 28) is the closest big car park that you will get spaces in but I went in there once for a Mayflower show and the traffic getting out was very busy.

Thanks chaps - went straight into the multi-storey behind the hotel (Grosvenor Sq.?). Dead easy, but not cheap (£8 for the pm/eve) and had to queue for 10 minutes to pay after the gig because everybody was faffing with credit cards!

I know its later than you were after, But thought it might help people.

That carpark at leisure world is £4 all day if you park before mid-day. If you park after, then it is free parking. Might be a bit of a walk in, but cut through John Lewis and it isnt that bad if the weather is okay!

Also, The solent uni carpark is open to students on the weekends and is free. I'm technically a student so it's okay for me. Not sure what the rules are on others using it though.
