So as some of you know, got zapped in the Camaro by handheld in the summer at 121mph on the A303 at 10pm...Salisbury Court today and sentenced to 60day ban and £600 fine...

This thread is for reference purposes, not for the preachers to spout their wisdom or veiws on speeding ;-)

Sorry to hear that mate, 60 days seems a hefty ban for speed only? Hope it doesnt effect your work.

Annoying to think you would have got less for burgling someones house, but thats justice for you.

Roads are all wet and horrible anyway, so your not missing much!!!

As Jim says the roads are pretty pants at the moment, very little grip and salt doing its very best to ruin nice clean paint.
Bad luck old chap.

Bad luck fella, but at least you can drink all you like over Christmas now biggrin

Jim said it was hefty, but when I first read what you got I thought that was pretty good (if it can be good).

Don't let the buggers catch you next time!

Bad luck. I know how it feels.

Salsbury court was where I went for my speeding conviction several years back. I got 6 months. The worst part was trying to get insured again when I got my licence back. I got quoted around 3k for third party in an Astra!

Ouch, 121mph is some speed...

A 60 day ban doesn't sound too hideous.

To be honest in most cases the welfare state pays the court cost, you pay a £50 fine as your not working, you pick up some leaves for a couple of days and your back out theiving again. The motorists definitely get the worst of it.

a mate of mine got 6 months ban and £600ish for 137mph on a duel carrigeway and another got 2 weeks and just shy of £200 for 95 in a 40, seems a lottery as to the punishment these days.

True... but regardless of my view 121 is a fair whack more than the NSL! wink

I would certainly never have been quicker than that either...! wink *Ahem*
