It appears that our usual log supplier has closed his doors and we are in need of a new supply of logs, does anyone have any contacts for the Fareham area. I have tried a couple I have found on Google but they all seem to store their logs outside, whereas our old supplier had them dry stored
Ok sounds like you usually order a few loads at a time as "a load" to me is a metre cubed. Does the transit have plywood sides or just a normal flatbed?
Can supply anything up to 10 cubic metres in one trip!
Can also supply rings and length for you to cut and split yourself if your feeling short on cash but big on energy!!
All the logs are hardwood so burn longer and hotter.
Let me know if your wanting some and how soon.

I would be looking for pre-split logs delivered ASAP, as I am far to lazy to be splitting them myself - feel free to drop me a PM with your costs
Dave, I get my delivered logs from Pinkmead Farm at the top of Botley Road (Botley end of the road), not sure if they are dry stored but they are generally all hardwood and all burn well with no spitting etc. Off the top of my head (Don't quote me on it) a pick up load is about £80 I think, all cut and split at tidy stackable lengths too. (I think they will stack them for you as well at an additional cost).
I tried a guy based down in Titchfield somewhere last year but his were alot more fir and softwood, despite the fact that he told me otherwise, and cut lengths were all over the place so stacking it was a nightmare... I was glad to get shot of it all and get back to Pinkmead in the end.

All good thanks mate, just been very busy over the last couple of months, looking forward to next year when things will have relaxed somewhat... and more driving hopefully! I hate this time of year with the car all tucked up for the winter.
Hopefully catch up soon!
