Having watched the debarcle of last weeks minor snow shower and the clear lack of driver experience in these conditions i thought i'd make an offer to all those who may have struggled or are worried about the next dump. Now this isnt intended as a 'show off' or 'trumpet blowing' session but, of the 9 vehicles i rescued while walking to work last thursday none of them should have been stuck in the first place. Everything i did was basic and no special skills were required. My missus hasnt got stuck once following a few little hints and tips.

So, if your interested and you think it might aid you in the future, im offering free snow / ice driving instruction at a time to suit the masses. Ideally this will work best when we actually get some more snow but by this point it would probably be too late and some of you might not get to the lesson. Instead i can sort out a lesson in the form of a formal classroom session or some practical work if we get a light sprinkle and some ice. Either way the offer is there and im more than happy to lend my time if it keeps you lot safer on the roads.

If anyone wants to contact me privately then feel free to email me.

Also if your wondering if i have any experience myself / know what im on about then dont worry. I have plenty of experience driving in Norway and a very wintry North America. My 10 years in the Marines gave me the qualifications to teach ice and snow driving to the military, but the skill are just as exactly the same in civvie street.

I'd be interested Eddie, I didn't have any problems per se, but it's always useful to hear the correct way of dealing with these situations.

Can't beat ditching pussers kit in the snow. I ski'd a BV down a hillside taking out numerous trees and getting some serious air time. Amazing how manouverable they are in the snow.

I'll explain teabagging, but there will be no demonstration im affraid. Leesa might not approve!

Put your names down under the following dates if they suit. I can always do more than one session.
I'll organise a classroom or an office room to do the lesson in but if anyone knows anywhere (anywhere from Poole to Ringwood) that can be of use then im all ears.
