SKY Engineery Type Person in South Coast

Ok Sky HD box is playing about sky are being of no help .

my box seams to be only recieving one of the signals form the dish wich isnt great the 2nd feed has nothing comeing thru acording to the signal checker in settings.

and half of my hd channels are no longer working.

any sky guru's able to help cheers

If you swap the inputs on the rear of the box, does the signal strength issue swap between Inputs 1 & 2 (in Services > Settings > Health) ? If so, might be worth checking / remaking the F-type connections at each end of that cable.

If the connectors seem OK, try swapping to another LNB output (on the dish).

If the problem stays with the same input when you swap the connectors at the rear of the bos, then the box itself might be playing up.

If you do fix the signal problem but are still missing a few channels, it might be worth trying a rebuild or a reset (I believe that the latter will wipe your recorded programs, though).

CHeers SS2 i will give that a go the bodge that the sky enginer did with the connections is horrific from when it was first installed gonna try swapping now mate .

ok swapped over and seem to be getting signals on both now so proberbly a loose connection and more of my hd channels working still a few not playing ball mainly bbc HD is the one im trying to get to work for TG tonight
