Thanks for the advice from everybody on my previous threads ref car choices, I have now found one which will be arriving with me tomorrow evening smile

I sort of went with Matt's suggestion as it has a little bit in common with a Civic - only it has a V6 engine instead and it is Yellow... Any guesses? smile

Nope, it has 4 seats, a boot, and has a lot more in common with a civic than an NSX, sadly wink It's a practical family car!

That's it Trophy Yellow! Hatch or Saloon?

Saloon - I drove a hatch but it just felt a bit wibbly. Well that's not true, it felt amazing, but then I drove the Saloon... I guess it's just a stiffer shell. Also the boot is huge compared to the hatch, so whilst the hatch would edge it on practicality, I can't very well drop the seats if there's a baby seat in there wink

It's this one in fact - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2417814.htm

The paint looks faded in the photos as I'm guessing it was taken at dusk, it's really not tongue out

We had an atomix one of these(less bhp), always liked the engine sound and the seats in these. I miss my zr180 seats from the rover! Over 60k, has it had the head gasket replaced yet?

Its even more when you see it, it was far better than id expected for our meagre budget which was why I had overlooked them in the beginning!

I don't think the headgasket issues really affects the v6. Besides, I've had 3 k series cars with over 100k and have yet to experience the issue first hand wink

What's wrong Eddie? Not keen on what the creator of your vehicle did when they got hold of Rover?

Nah, im only jesting. Although the MG / Rover thing is gonna haunt forever. At least its in a good colour. Ive had my fair share of Rovers over the years so i can't really comment.

Think it has the same lump as my gaylander V6.. Nice smooth lump but a bit prone to headgaskets (but not as bad as the 1.8) I also paid little money for it and its only a weekend vehicle so not too worried if it dies! I just check the fluid levels on a very regular basis..
I expect there are some good Rover forums , but check out landyzone.co.uk as its a mine of information if you get issues or need info!

Nice wheels hope you enjoy it!

Ditto - if it suddenly exploded, we have the other car till I can fix it so it would just mean no visiting the in-laws (woohoo!).

I did find it has the same issue that's plagued every Rover I've ever owned... The heater only working on 3 and 4! Fortunately I still have a spare resistor pack somewhere...

And I'll agree on the forums, as a long time Rover owner (and owner of the entire range of T-Series turbos tongue out) I've found them utterly indispensable, they're a friendly and helpful bunch on most of them!

I did drive her to Fareham yesterday and back, and bugger me she's likes a drink...
