I do a fair bit of work down at Regal Autosport in Southampton and have been chatting to the guys about doing a possible rolling road day for the south coast guys and girls!

I would imagine a saturday towards the end or april/may time would probably be best in terms of hopefully having better weather and more toys coming out to play!

I just wanted to gauge interest as to who would be interested in attending so I can try and get things organised. I also have a few other ideas that could be done on the day but will wait and see if there is any interest first

Below is a link to Regals blog so you can have a look at what they are doing at the moment

http://regal-auto.co.uk/blog/

So if your interested put your names down and I will get a bit more info sorted.

Looking good so far, as far as i am aware it is a 4wd rolling road and Paul they are used to doing cars with engines in silly places so not a problem!

Had no idea these chaps were so serious about their motorsport. They need to stop putting their name on daft bodykitted Corsas with smoked lights and tints innit?

Would be interested to see what the Octavia makes on their rollers, and I guess I should see what the Elise makes as well. 205 not quite ready for this year yet.

/\ /\ Yeah, what he said /\ /\

A few years back when they were at their old site, they had a bit of a negative reputation on the VX220 owners club. They seemed more into dodgy Bodykit styling. Having said that, I did have one of my VX220's mapped by them as they were local, and their service was very good. My ECU locked up during the mapping and had to be filed in the bin. They paid to have a brand new ECU fitted at Vauxhall! Seems they've come on a long way over the years in terms of their client base and cars they work on! Good on them.

I will come along to watch. No point in rolling roading my currently standard car. If I remove the DPF, fit an exhaust and map it as planned I'll certainly put it on the rollers, but I can't see that happening for a while.

Dan, wouldn't it be worth putting it on the rollers stock to see what you've got before you modify it so you've got a real baseline to work with? Just a thought.
