Got to organise one of these for a maximum of 10 peeps. Lap dance club is the only thing the groom has specified he wants to do, so on the grounds even I would get bored doing this for two days what options are there around the Southampton/Portsmouth/Winchester areas? Ideas and recommendations appreciated!

Ta!

10 of us recently spent a weekend on the Isle of Wight - shot some clays one morning and spent an afternoon doing an off-road 4x4 experience.

Two nights on the sauce in Cowes and a cracking time was had by all.

Only trouble with your requirement is the absence of any lap-dancing clubs on the Island (AIUI, anyway).

Where was this? I'm organising one on the Island in a couple of weeks.

He has access to firearms as a licence holder so we had thought of clays and then dismissed it!

The shooting was on the southern side of the Island - near Atherfield.

The 4x4 wrecking driving was at Apse Heath, out to the east.

We booked it through these people - http://www.islandactivities.co.uk (contact = Phil).

For accomodation, we booked a couple of pine lodges at Gurnard Pines. These were very cheap and sleep maybe 7-8 people per lodge - http://www.gurnardpines.co.uk/rustic3.html

Edit - fixed link

What about chartering a boat and going fishing deep sea style for the day.we did it for about 40 squid a head and the weather was fantastic. Take your own beers and it is a great day out. Then back to the hotel for a wash up then off to the strip club. By that point you will be used to the smell of fish.

Cheers chum, might help fill in the boring days between hectic party nights out in Ventnor. Oh yes.

Large.. hehe

In fairness, I really can't speak for Ventnor, nor indeed Newport (we didn't bother making the trip) - we stayed in Cowes and had a couple of really good nights (flap dancing clubs aside, of course).. wink

His old man has a 34 foot trawler moored on the Hamble so he was bought up around fishing.

Hadn't thought of this idea but not sure he'd go for it to be honest!

Ive organised a few of these for mates and a brother. White water rafting is always a winner. Zorbing is quite popular around here as is a session at Go Ape. Alternatively you could phone up Weston On The Green airfield and book him a parachute jump. Ive been there a few times and they are good guys despite their Parachute Regiment and RAF backgrounds. Go Karting has been mentioned already, but what about ZapCat racing? They are little speed boats and i believe you can take lessons in Poole and Portsmouth. Cycling from pub to pub along the coastal routes is also quite popular daytime event but quite weather dependant. There is also an indoor Golf Simulator in Bournemouth that does stag sessions so maybe give them a bell if the weather looks rubbish. Archery, falconry, horse trekking etc etc......

Plenty more stuff out there.......
