So there I am in Lancing, at 13:10 today, by Brooklands park outside Marlbourgh Road Business Park. I am stationary at the roadwork traffic lights in my pride and joy, a red Nissan R35 GTR. Opposite is a T-Junction, where a car pulls out (without stopping) into the flowing traffic. The timing could not be worse, as at that precise moment 2 cars are now trying to occupy the same piece of road. The two cars then get extremely close and I think that they are about to have an accident. The lady swerves to try and avoid the car that has pulled out, driving straight into my door. I check my side mirror expecting the car to stop, the car slows and then to my amazement drives off! The lady in the Fiesta reverses off my door and I jump out to catch the Reg Number of the car that has left the scene of the accident they have caused. Unfortunately its too late as the car has dissapeared out of view.
The lady in the Fiesta is very upset as she had just driven into a stationary expensive well looked after Nissan Supercar. I tell her its not her fault as she had nowhere else to go. Amazingly my GTR is not that badly damaged and has sustained scratches down the side.
The reason I am putting this saga on here is that the car in question that caused this accident and drove off will probably be a known vehicle to someone on here. It was a silver/grey Nissan GTS R32 with a very small front number plate possibly ending in HBB.
We have not reported the incident to the police yet hoping that the person in question would do the decent thing and come forward and pay for the damage sustained to my door.
I can claim off the lady's insurance, but that would not seem fair.
Anyone?

Search the Jap Owners club forums mate. That'll be your best bet. Knowing what he has hit and what he drives i bet he is bricking it that you are a forum member.

I'll keep an eye out mate. I live in Lancing and I have to go to my wholesaler in the business park most days.

Try Skylineowners.com mate. Sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Somewhat ironic a poorly driven R32 caused damage to your R35. Hope it gets sorted ok.
