Hello,

I've been bought a Landrover Experience day, which I'll be doing in Devon, but I'm not sure which vehicle to take up.

I've been offered the following:

Defender 110
Freelander 2
Discovery 4
Range Rover
Range Rover Sport

I'm swaying towards the Defender (manual, no driver aids) and the Discovery 4 (auto with loads of driver aids). Any thoughts? More so the Discovery. All are new 2011 vehicles.

I'd appreciate any feedback please!

Why do you say that? Why that over a full fat RR or Disco?

Been on that down in Devon.

Was going to be a Defender but they broke it a few days before.

Ended up having to go Freelander...thought it would be pants but it went everywhere all the others went and its only problem being the low ground clearance. You just had to select a different line.

Great fun and an eye opener...enjoy.

I did one in Kent in the then new RRS petrol as I had just ordered a Disco 3 and the dealer arranged it for me. I was gobsmacked what it could do/where it could go on road tyres. Good giggle whatever one you choose.

As previosly said you will be gobsmacked at what it does, it's mental quick on the road for what it is, and off road it's got so much torque it go's over stuff at a little over tickover

Do you have to pick one?

I did a full day and did the Sport in the morning and Defender in the afternoon. Was great day one on one all day, loads of off road driving.

Yeah, we have to pick one. It's the half day, not full day.

Still not sure what to go for, I don't think I'll go in the Defender as I'm just there to have fun! Think I'll go for the Discovery as it's the only one I'd probably buy. Not keen on the Range.

Personally I'd go for the D4. Been on several of the LR experience days and all vehicles are good fun, the best bit is not having to care whats happening to the vehicles. In reality you can repeat the experience in a Defender but would you take your new D4 off road?
