Good morning one and all!

A couple of years ago I took this picture up in the Lake District somewhere, not far from Windermere I'm sure. I want to go back up there today in the new jalopy but can't remember whereabouts it is! I've posted this picture on here before and someone recognised the location so I'm hoping it's well known. It's a small area for parking off quite a fun, twisty road...

Any help appreciated and will be rewarded with a new shot later thumbup

Nice! I was taking it steady - new car and nervous passenger (wife).

There's a nasty pothole in that car park from what I remember smile

Here's my usual photo spot, just up the road from the OP's, on the road down to Ambleside called "The Struggle":

Yup, one there as well.
It's the road down to Ambleside.

My mum lives at the bottom of there.

The stink of boiled brakes from nervous visitors descending can be more breathtaking than the view.

Have a pint at the pub at the top, then a cheeky pint at the Golden Rule at the bottom while the discs cool down.

Last time I was there, I remember thinking it would be a great drive in a hairy chested Griff or similar. Love the metallic sage green colour, I don't think I have seen one in that shade before.

The garage at the bottom of the hill in Patterdale sells brake fluid. Don't ask me how I know this biggrin

Red pit Car park - I was there back in 2001

Mrs _deano didn't want her face in this pic - hence it being removed.
Don't know why - she looked a hell of a lot better 10 years ago ;-)

Just taken a hell of a punch in the arm for that comment smile
