Mini 2.0SD engine help Wirral

Hi all,

I have quite a nice mini countryman 2.0sd N47 which has started making rather loud noises from the engine. Initially I thought timing chains but now I’m not so sure. It actually sounds more like top end than anything else.

Is there anyone around the Wirral area who knows there stuff on these cars that could potentially help fix?

Brace yourself. Had two N47 minis due on me. Albeit high mileage and very poorly maintained.

Chris, the main guy, is a slightly challenging character and the premises a bit of a back street special, but their knowledge is pretty much second to none.

Thanks for the tip - I’ve spoken to Ben at Dervtech and they’re going to look at it at the end of the month.
