Hi guys,

I've got a run planned with some customers/friends on the 12th June running from Harrogate, up to Buttertubs pass, having some lunch and come back basically, with a few stops for chats, toilet breaks, photos, etc etc,

If anyone fancies joining feel free to PM me, we hope to have a few Astons, Porshces, Bentleys, Ferraris, and hopefully E25 super car club will be attending with a few clients.

Obviously top end stuff would be brilliant to keep with the theme, but anyone is welcome!

Please PM me and I'll add you to the mailing list.

Tom

Keep the PM's coming,

As I said, anything welcome, I'm wanting to get a variety of cars for everyone to look at so not just supercars!

Hi Tom,

Got your email thanks but a lot of us will be away in a large field in France that weekend somewhere near Le Mans smile

I wouldn't have been able to bring the Testarossa anyway though as it would come off Buttertubs with half its undercarriage missing! I've been over in a Challenge Stradale and we nearly lost the front spoiler... about six times.

Came over it after the Malton meet the other weekend in the Z4 though and it was absolutely fine smile

Hope the weather is good for you, it is fantastic scenery up there.

If you can fit in the top road from Grassington to Pately Bridge it's a belter, then turn off at Summerbridge, up Dacre Banks and Darley Head to the main A59, then straight over and along the top of Fewston to Otley. Great roads and not too bad for clearance.

I've not even thought about ground clearance! Bo11ocks....

I've got a 458, DBS, GT2 amongst others, think we'll struggle? haha

DBS might be ok but the Ferrari and GT2 will NOT thank you for it at all!

Make sure you're behind them... preferably at dusk... the fireworks show will be spectacular hehe

To be honest... it is not worth missing out on the spectacular scenery just for the sake of going easy on that particular stretch of road. Just make everyone aware that the low cars WILL bottom out unless they go steady. It's pretty (very) obvious to see the places where they will ground out, it's slowing down in time that is near impossible if you are being a little enthusiastic.

Just take it steady over Buttertubs and admire the view carefully.

I do hope there wasn't a passenger in that.

No passenger onboard fortunately and the driver got away with a few very minor cuts, very, very lucky chap.

If the off side A pillar has given way like the near side one did, then that wire would have taken the drivers head off, very very lucky to walk away from that.

Ha so weird. I just decided that when my new car arrives I was going to take it for a run up Buttertubs pass.

It might not be here for the 12th but if it is I'll let you know.

New Skoda Fabia vrs btw smile

Is this still going ahead Tom? Sunday looks a shocker weather-wise grumpy

Tom - how about a round robin text message at 7.30am (early enough so can stay in bed if it's off!) on Sunday letting us all know if it's on or off. i.e. if weather looks as bad as currently predicted, won't be a nice day out.

Revised forecast is that it should stay dry in the morning, with the rain coming mid-afternoon, so we should hopefully still be able to do most of the route. Fingers crossed thumbup

...(trying to keep up with a skoda) hehe - good times, I remember watching the lad in the blue tamora have a "moment" too, locking the fronts coming up to a rather sharp bend at a fair rate.
