Hi,
Can somone reccomend a good divorce lawyer around Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield or Wakefield. Someone good who can help with a case where the respondent is not sending back the proof of service.
Cheers
My solicitor was pretty good, she was called Emily (Bishop I think)and worked out of Brearleys solicitors first in Birstall then Cleckheaton. Not at all cheap but I was always happy with her advice. Can somone reccomend a good divorce lawyer around Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield or Wakefield. Cheers

Thoroughly decent bloke and good value. You will get slightly annoyed by their switchboard system though (switchboard -> secretary -> Solicitor No direct dial!) - but Paul is about £100 less per hour than any of his contempories and is very good.

All I can say is stay well away from Jones Myers in Leeds. Stupendous office, massive fees. Fur coats and no knickers. They talk a good talk but will fail you in oh so many ways. They act like big dogs but they have no teeth! About the only communication you get is from their accounts department, asking when you'll send payment for their last invoice! Spend your money elsewhere. Marilynn Stowe is the best in the North, but I'm not sure how much she practises now (she's a bit of a "divorce lawyer to the stars"), but you may still get good advice from her husbands firm at Grahame. Stowe, Bateson. http://www.grahame-stowe-bateson.co.uk/ Good Luck!
