Harewood Hillclimb Sat 4th June - 27000cc Car
Discussion
On Saturday is the Classic and Vintage Day at Harewood Hillclimb
I have often stated that this is some of the best and certainly my favourite motorsport to spectate and photograph at
Mostly due to seeing old cars with huge engines, narrow tyres, no brakes or safety devices and absolute Heroes driving them up the hill.
It is some of the most hilarious and courageous driving that you will ever see!!!!
I note that there is the mind blowing 27000cc Hispano Delage and the Napier Bentley 24000cc cars amongst the 143 entries
Full details and PDF of entry list here http://www.harewoodhill.com/events/
Practice in the morning with coffee and bacon butties available
After lunch stop is the Timed runs all afternoon and guaranteed plenty of thrills and spills
even if the weather is dry and sunny and hot as forecast.
All this for £10 entry for adults for all day
NB I have no connection with this event - just thought others might like to know
Cheers
Richard

I've got a few things to do in the morning Rich, but me and OH are going to try to get over early afternoon if we can. I will see what Haighy and Restless are doing also.
Cheers. Botty Boy.
I am going regardless but will be nice for you to be there to get me a coffee (and a pie)Cheers. Botty Boy.
Cheers

Superb - thanks for the heads up Richard - I'd written it on my calendar but you've just reminded me.
Got a free-pass out as she's working, AND I got my new camera last week (Got burgled ages ago, all camera stuff pinched) AND hopefully it will be crackin' flags...
I'll see you all there!

I'm going to be there (if the Morris' fuel pump is playing nicely) so I may see some of you there as well. I'll be the one with the 35mm SLR fitted with the 'Stalker' lens!
I'm really looking forward to seeing the Napier Bentley climbing that hill, it made a splendid noise last time (and I got a cracking shot of it too).
Cheers,
Tom

Get there when you can
I believe first car on practice is 9am but I get there between 10 and 10.30 as I like my bed on a weekend
others are just coming to watch timed runs all afternoon
If you are there soon enough you get a free programme while stocks last
