Ok I will start this off by asking is my car (R8) a Supercar or not?
I would like to think it might just get its foot in the door, but if this thread was on the Ferrari/Lambo forum then the answer would must certainly be no!

Id say an R8 is a supercar, but say, a Boxster is more of a sportscar same with a Cayman, Z4, TTRS and things along those lines

I class a supercar as something that is either niche or high end, chuffingly quick and well put together and usually with a price tag to match. Then there are hypercars, stuff like the Enzo, Veyron, Zondas etc which turn it all the way up to 11. In my opinion the R8 is indeed a supercar. Going by the stuff discussed on the other thread before it was deleted, a Boxster is more of a sportscar, along Z4's etc

Why not Keith? I mean, depending on the type, the V10 has the same engine as the Gallardo, and the V8 does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and to 190mph...

Good question, I would say it can be broken down in to everyday supercars and then your exclusive super cars like Zondas,Bugattis etc

R8, Gallardo, GT3, 997 Turbo, even M3 Rs4 etc are your everyday supercars, either way the R8 is an awesome piece of kit

hmm tricky....

If it was the V10 Spyder in my opinion it ticks every box for a supercar; it looks gorgeous, its exclusive (rare and expensive) and very fast.

Same for the GT-R, one of the fastest cars around, but its 60k and a Nissan (I own a 350Z before any thinks I own a Boxster wink ) so can you have a super car for Range Rover money? ...I think so

At the side of the road awaiting an AA truck wink

I've always classed supercars as the highest brand, stupidly quick, hand built and either achingly beautiful or undeniably unique. Something with a huge price tag made in small numbers and sold to a lucky few.
