Seen as though they have one for Sheffield, may as well do one for Wakefield, I'm from Horbury, either walking around or on my push bike.

Work just outside Wakefield, and live another 15 mins away.

Anyone been to the new Sainsburys yet? 80p to park! Adds up if you want to pop out for fresh food every day vs the old one... not really a good move when there is that huge ASDA with free parking and more choice!

I know is a soddin rip off isnt it - just Sainsburys trying to get something new and shiney, it was better before when they had the big Sainsburys on the other side of town with the petrol station just across the road from it

Still i go to the Asda - its bleedin lovely doing your shop in the early early hours of the morning when my shift is over compared to having to shop through the day

BTW - Dewsbury lad here who used to work in Wakefield

Its got a cathedral. So technically yes.

I'm a wakey lad born and bred. I'm about as far out of wakey you can get before you enter Barnsley.

Think if you spend over a tenner at Sainsburys you park for free? Hand over the parking ticket at the check out and they stamp it enabling free egress from the car park?

Something nice about coming from the underdog of towns in the UK though
